NeuroSpicy! Rules

F.A.Q. and Clarifications

  • NeuroSpicy is our name for people who aren’t neurotypical. A standard neurotypical person would still have the same 7 ingredients and have the same 13 point total but the distribution would be more flat (6 - 2 points and a 1 point). NeuroSpicy is a bit more skewed with 2-3 point ingredients, 2-2 point ingredients, and 3-1 point ingredients.

  • A flavor is a different type of NeuroSpiciness, and is illustrated by a different type of pepper. The flavors are: Athlete, Devout, Streamer, Creative, Enthusiast, Inventor, and Nerd. Each flavor has differing skill points for each ingredient but will always total 13.

  • An ingredient is an attribute of a pepper. The ingredients are: Dexterity, Community, Intellect, Empathy, Charisma, Spirituality, and Ambition. These vary from 1-3 points in value and make up a unique Flavor.

  • Trading is accomplished by announcing that you have a specific Ingredient to trade only. Any other player can trade you any card from their hand or from their saved pile. If they trade from their saved pile, the traded card must go directly into their saved pile. You are not allowed to ask for a specific flavor or ingredient during a trade. If no one wants to trade with you, you may choose one of the other Actions for your turn.

  • Final Trades are triggered as soon as someone has one of each Ingredient, or the deck is exhausted. Every player gets one final turn to offer a single card for trade. At the end of the Final Trades, you may save or discard the last card in your hand.

A player only scores the additional (3) point bonus if they have all seven ingredients, and all of them are from the same Flavor.

  • Game Setup Alternate: Deal TWO cards to each player. Each player will Save one and keep the other in their Hand.

Trade Alternate: Trading player may ask for either an Ingredient or a Flavor when announcing their specific Ingredient, but NOT both.
